I started writing my first book about Climate Change "Truth of Climate Change" on 6th of December in 2015. The book is studying climate change facts as they really are today. It will present primary data from global warming and forecasts until the year 2200. The book indicates what influence has the greenhouse gases, aerosols and the sun. The anthropogenic global warming (AGW) or warming caused by man's actions has caused the 0.9 deg. C global warming until today. On May, 2016 already 177 pages of the book are ready. The author would be pleased to have any comments on the subject by e-mail to askovuorinen (at) gmail.com
In January 2017 I started writing my second book, "Fundamentals of Global Warming", in which I am trying to explain what is happening and using Excel sheets to document all the calculations. I will publish each chapter as soon as they will be ready. In this book I will try to give detailed temperature figures in the appendice. Thus everybody can make the same calculations one again, if needed. The first thing I found was the facts that until the year 1985 global warming has been caused by the sun irradiance. But after 1985 CO2 has been the main cause of rapide warming, which is happening at a rate of 0.34 deg. C per 10 years.
In Feburary 2017 I developed a mass balance model for CO2, which will indicate that the CO2 concentration will increase more slowly than expected. The seas are absorbing CO2 with logarithmic relation to the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere. This will give us time to decrease emissions. If the saving will start in 2020 with 2 % annually, the global temperature rise will be limited to less than 1.50 deg. C.
In March Milankovitch's cycles and it's effect on long term global warming have been explained in Chapter 6. The next 100,000 years will be warm, but then global temperature should be decreasing and a new ice age would be ahead in about 250,000AD.
In April Atlantic Multidecadial Oscillation (AMO) has been explained. The AMO cycle lasts about 70 years and we have been living warm phase of AMO cycle, which will last from the year 2000 to about 2035. It will cause more hurricans than during the cold phase of AMO cycle.
In May the targets for future temperature development has been set in chapter 7. The main target is to limit global warming to + 1.5 deg. C in the short term. This can be achieved with 2 % annual reductions in global emissions. The Paris 2 deg. C target can be reached with 1 % annual reductions in emissions. Individual people can reach 1 ton per capita level in Finland, if they will build zero emission log houses and buy all electric cars.
Also four sets of slides can be found from these pages. One set is Basics of Global warming and a second set for Carbon dioxide and global warming. Third set of slides decribes about Milankovitch cycles and fourth about seas and ice. The book and slides have been published in http://ekoenergo.fi/page63.php.
